Designation - Manager - Revenue Accounting

Exp - 7 - 10 yrs

Location - Gurgaon

Responsibilities :

  • Strong technical accounting skills. Solid knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS
  • 7-10 years prior work experience in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • Big 4 or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) revenue accounting experience is a plus
  • Prior project accounting experience preferred
  • Ability with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong organizational skills: a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and across various functions to meet deadlines,
  • Highly motivated individual with creative mind set to solve big-picture problems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Great interpersonal skills and a strong collaborator
  • Experience in Contract Reviews, Renewals, creating trackers etc.
  • Prior experience in handling internal and external audits
  • Ensure revenue recognition is in accordance with the company’s policy and SaaS revenue recognition accounting standard as per IFRS.
  • Interact with Legal, Sales Ops, FP&A, Sales, Pricing and Product Groups on projects, deal structuring, deal approvals, go-to-market strategies, contract negotiation
  • Manage, mentor, and supervise a team of professionals
  • Address technical accounting inquiries from the business and provide guidance/implications
  • Identify and implement internal controls and process improvements
  • Provide contract review summaries for completed transactions (for internal and audit purposes)
  • Month-end closing activities associated with Revenue month-end tasks, reporting, & account reconciliation. Review and ensure all journal entries have proper supporting documentation and approval
  • Help in maintaining formal accounting policies, practices, and procedures to ensure US GAAP compliance and strong internal controls
  • Actively participate in new system initiatives, including configuration and upkeep of NetSuite’s Advanced Revenue Module (ARM)
  • Assist with financial audits including reconciliations, support documentation, and communication with external auditors
  • Assist with the management of Accounts Receivable processes
  • Assist with period-end close activities
  • Collaborate with the FP&A group on revenue forecasting and related metrics

Requirements

  • 2+ years minimum Public Accounting experience with a Big 4 firm
  • 2+ years prior accounting experience with a SaaS company
  • Must have an advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to problem solve, both from an accounting and system perspective
  • Ability to work independently but also be a team player
  • Masters in commerce or CA
  • Able to prioritize in fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional project and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
