Job Description:
Job Impact and Purpose The Government Relations Head for South Asia will lead, direct, and represent the company when dealing with elected officials, bureaucrats in the federal, provincial, and regulatory administrations, and regulatory agencies. You will establish and maintain proactive connections with regulators, trade associations, industry coalitions, governments, and other authorities in this position to have an impact on the stances and policies that support businesses.Major Responsibilities• Serve as a subject-matter expert on laws and regulations pertaining to agriculture, food, and feed.• Represent the company in forums, trade associations, and meetings with government representatives to discuss business operations and future legislation that might have an impact on the company.• Ensure that the interests of the organisation are represented and safeguarded in legislative proceedings and the creation of market norms and regulations.• To ensure that the organisation is aware of governmental legislation and regulatory concerns that influence it, develop, maintain, and report to the businesses / functions in the nation and at the region on policies and programmes.• Work together with organisations and departments including legal, regulatory affairs, communication, corporate responsibility, and others to further your goals.• Coach and guide the group throughout South Asia.• Assume little direction while offering expert thought leadership in the agri, food, and feed industries. Use additional research and evaluative analysis to spot potential difficulties. • Additional tasks as allocated, such as giving leadership to team members who are supporting you and contributing strategically.QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS• A bachelor's degree in a related discipline or comparable work experience A Masters degree will be helpful.• At least 15 years of expertise in a comparable field; • Additional minimal requirements may applyPrevious Positive Experiences• Work as a team to create and uphold policies and programmes to ensure that the organisation is aware of governmental regulations and laws that may affect it.• Work together to plan and coordinate forums and gatherings with government representatives to share ideas and knowledge about corporate operations and future legislation that could have an impact on the organisation.• Knowledge of agriculture, food, and feed is a plus
