Title: Major Account Manager

Role: AM for Government and Defence

Location: Delhi

Job Description

Overall objective of this position is to drive sales of Juniper’s products, services and solutions direct and through channels across India for federal, PSU’s, state government customers.

Job responsibilities

  • Work with Sales and SE resources, some directly and some through matrix relationships to drive sales.
  • Apply both tactical and strategic go to market models aimed at growing the customer base both in the short and long terms to drive higher revenues, customer growth and customer retention.
  • Assist in facilitating and brokering significant deals that may involve channel conflicts or competing interests both internally and with external partners.
  • Develop territory/account plans and quota assignment for assigned resources.
  • Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly and annual sales achievement.
  • Ensure the focus is on selling based on value to customer, features, and function, NOT price.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master's required.
  • Minimum of over 12+ years of front-end selling experience to Government and Defence accounts in the Northern region covering Delhi, NCR, Other states and PAN-India entities like NIC etc.
  • Must have proven skills of working with Government & Defence facing channel partners.
  • Technology savvy, must have sold OEM products like networking or high-end servers or storage or software or SI services.
  • Prefer knowledge of global company processes around compliance etc while dealing with Government agencies.
  • Self-driven, highly charged, willingness to challenge the status quo are some key traits.
  • Knowledge of trends in the Government/Defense segment.
  • Good presentation skills, analytical skills and superior written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to establish effective relationships across all levels, including executive management
  • An ability to summarize business and financial data in a useful manner for planning and decision making
  • Proven ability negotiating business agreements, plus the ability to enhance existing and develop new business partnerships
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a high level of success/achievement
  • Extensive travel required
