- Be prepared for the Guest’s arrival Review booking and advise of any outstanding work required including any FSA’s due on the vehicle Provide clear and accurate pricing Place the protection material while in front of the Guest, upon arrival Educate Guests about the VRC and benefits and inform him about the workshop vehicle progress status link. Confirm and update Guests’ details in the DMS Discuss any specific Guest requirements during arrival (example – booking taxi, return drop, facilitating private room for meeting, WiFi assistance, etc.) Engage with the Guest on more than just their vehicle Connect with WSC to give accurate pick up time to guest Check in with Guests in the guest lounge (make sure they are comfortable and educate them about the Vehicle Status Board to track the status of their vehicle inside the workshop.) Keep track of their vehicle throughout the day and provide progress updates Make sure all work is completed as promised.

The Service Advisor role sees the highest Guest interaction within the Dealership – even more than the salesperson! It’s not surprising when we say that they are a major contributor to the overall success of the Dealership and for the brand. Guest satisfaction is measured via the CEI survey – for the Service Department much of this score is related to the way that the Guest was handled by the Service Advisor and is not only based on the quality of the repair.
