Main Purpose

The compliance Executive need to handle Social Compliance Audit of buyers and code of conduct audit independently. Ensure that factory is fully comply with all required Ethical compliance, Safety, Health and environmental requirements (IMS) on daily basis.


· Responsible for making sure a company meets its legal obligations and operates at a high standard.

· Responsible for educating the entire company and instituting practices that will ensure the highest possible level of compliance.

Main Responsibilities

· To ensure no child labour or forced labour in the factory

· The compliance Executive need to handle Social Compliance Audit of buyers such as C&A, M&S, WALMART, CARREFOUR, GAP, H&M, SGS, OKETO TEX, and SOLIVER, etc.

· To prepare Corrective and Preventive Action Plan (CAPA) after completion of Compliance Audit & keep all relevant documents

· Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.

· Identify, conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues and regular follow up.

· Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.

· Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities.

· File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies.

· Serve as a confidential point of contact for employees to communicate with management, seek clarification on issues or dilemmas, or report irregularities.

· Consult with corporate attorneys as necessary to address difficult legal compliance issues.

· Discuss emerging compliance issues with management or employees.

· Collaborate with human resources departments to ensure the implementation of consistent disciplinary action strategies in cases of compliance standard violations.

· Review communications such as securities sales advertising to ensure there are no violations of standards or regulations.

· Provide assistance to internal or external auditors in compliance reviews.

· Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress.

· Managing & monitoring employee's health, safety & environmental issues in the entire factory premises.

· Monitor compliance systems to ensure their effectiveness.

· Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards as per company policy to the duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate or required.

· Oversee internal reporting systems such as corporate compliance hotlines and inform employees about these systems.

· Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards.

· Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.

· Need to conduct Fire Drill at least once in a month and maintaining required data’s up to date. To ensure that firefighting drills are regularly arranged, fire equipment’s are very much available in sufficient numbers & fire exits are clearly marked

· Identify and must ensure that operators are using appropriate personal protective equipment’s (PPE) like safety shoes, dust mask, solvent masks, metal gloves, etc who are all working in machines & chemical stores.

· Responsible to arrange first aid training for the identified team and to ensure easy identification sign at working places with sufficient first aid box & medicine.

· Conduct environmental audits to ensure adherence to environmental standards.

· Evaluate testing procedures to meet the specifications of environmental monitoring programs.

· Direct environmental programs, such as air or water compliance, aboveground or underground storage tanks, spill prevention or control, hazardous waste or materials management, solid waste recycling, medical waste management, indoor air quality, integrated pest management, employee training, or disaster preparedness.

· Develop or implement environmental compliance plans for programs, such as air quality, storm water, wastewater treatment, hazardous waste management, pollution prevention, or solid waste management.

· Ensure proper and environmental friendly wastage disposal in line with approved consent order scope from Pollution control board of Karnataka.


  • Need to execute company’s Compliance policies.
  • Direct the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout an organization.
  • Advise internal management or business partners on the implementation or operation of compliance programs.
  • Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures.
  • Need to manage the Integrated Management systems as per latest ISO standards
  • Need to liaise with the local legal authorities
  • Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.
  • Review or modify policies or operating guidelines to comply with changes to environmental standards or regulations.


  • Daily - Factory Walk Around Report
  • Weekly – Audit report
  • Monthly – Compliance status report and IMS status report

Minimum Requirements: Education & Experience

  • Graduate / post graduate in production / industrial safety engineering with good communication skills and basic MS office skills in preparing reports & analysis.
  • With minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience as compliance manager / safety manager in a garment / apparel factory
  • Experience in ISO systems (especially IMS) is preferable
