Your Role and Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Be a custodian of IBMs brand among key Government, academic and civil society communities
- Identify, Analyze, develop positions, and drive advocacy on political, policy and regulatory issues pertinent to IBMs business in India.
- Develop and manage trusted relationships with key influencers, Government officials, academia, industry peers and Trade associations.
- Support business growth by strategically positioning IBM and its assets with key decision makers in the government.
- Work with cross functional teams (legal, sales, communications, marketing, etc) to develop positions supporting technology policy, trade policy, workforce, and local government issues.
- Draft advocacy materials, position papers, collaterals on policy and regulatory issues.
- Work closely with teams engaged in CSR, Communications and Marketing to plan and support interactions and events that engage external government and industry leaders to build IBMs thought leadership
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor/ Post Graduate degree, or equivalent proven experience in public policy and/or law
- Experience working government affairs (8/10+ yrs)
- Deep knowledge of policy making process in centre, state governments
- A self-starter with an ability to work in a fast paced, multinational environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience to develop/present public policy positions before government or other key stakeholders
- Values collaboration, with demonstrated abelites working cross functional teams
