We have an exciting opportunity for a lawyer to join the dynamic legal department of a major engineering and construction and technical services company. The opportunity is for individuals with 3 to 7 years of post-qualification experience. The candidate should have first rate academic qualifications and practical experience (the latter gained either in-house or in private practice) preferentially in the Infrastructure or Engineering/Construction sector and must be keen to be challenged in a fast-paced, commercial environment. Worldwide, the group's legal team consists of around 117 employees and 8 of these are based in India. The EMEA legal team comprises 26 employees who support and advise the business on many aspects of our numerous high-profile projects both in the UK and overseas in our two Lines of Business, one being People & Places Solutions and the other Energy Security and Technology. The Legal team works closely with our Sales and Operations colleagues and with Management at all levels. This role is supporting People Places & Solutions Line of Business throughout the EMEA region. The team are based in the UK, Milan and the Middle East with an additional resource in Poland.
We are looking to recruit a qualified lawyer with 3 to 7 years of post-qualification experience to support the P&PS EMEA legal team based in our Gurugram office.

Reporting to the head of the India legal team, the successful candidates will support the P&PS EMEA team remotely with the following tasks:
- Take responsibility for a wide range of construction and services contracts, from bid stage to negotiation and completion, including contracts with clients, joint venture agreements, guarantees, sub-contracts and confidentiality agreements.
- Streamlined contracts process (task orders under an existing framework)
- Deviations from standard terms
- Assist with some contract management
- Drafting/reviewing of letters (exclusivity, non-exclusive sub-consultant)
- Internal claims management (ex. for employers liability claims and the like)
The successful candidates will be a qualified lawyer with significant relevant experience.
The successful candidates will have a strong academic record and must have trained with a leading law firm or well-respected in-house team.
The successful candidates will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to identify risk, good commercial awareness and a clear and effective communication style.
