This is an opportunity to be part of a small global team of HR Operations specialists, supporting a growing Business of over 1,100 employees globally. Headquartered in London, the company has offices in 26 countries.

HR Operations works closely with other HR teams covering Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Reward, Change & Systems

This role will be focused on our US-based employees (approximately 260 currently) who are based in several states, including New York.

What is the role we can offer you ?

The HR Operations team is responsible for the full employee lifecycle from new joiner onboarding, through all changes that might happen during an employee’s time with the company, such as annual pay review, changes to role or transfers of department or country, maternity or paternity leaves, sick leaves etc, through to termination of employment. We are also involved in the lifecycle of non-employees such as contractors. This is a varied and interesting role where you will be supporting employees and line managers who are predominantly based in the US. In addition to the ‘business as usual’ role, you will be working with the global HR Operations team to drive continuous improvement initiatives across all regions and business areas such as line manager self-service and automation. There is every opportunity to be both creative and also commercial in realising cost efficiencies for the business while improving the employee and line manager experience.

What will I be delivering ?

This is a small, newly created team and you will work alongside other HR Operations colleagues. You will be the first point of contact and have overall responsibility for the management of HR requests and queries for US HR, which can often be complex / non-standard. In this varied role you will have interaction with a range of colleagues in and outside of HR, working closely with the HR Business Partners. The role may also require you to guide and advise other more junior colleagues in the delivery of services to the US employee / line manager population.

Additionally you will work across the global HR Operations function to help drive efficiencies and change initiatives. Your role will include the following types of activities: Responding to employees to resolve queries relating to policy and practice. Processing non-standard termination cases including calculating severance payments. Monthly payroll administration, working hand in hand with Finance to ensure that key information such as joiners, leavers, employee changes are processed by Payroll in an accurate and timely manner. Global benefits administration, including annual renewals and spend analysis. Supporting the annual pay review process. Responding to changes in legislation impacting HR policies and practice. Maternity leave meetings. Exit interviews where required for voluntary leavers. Creation of non-standard contractual documentation, including researching and drafting Ad hoc project involvement. Investigating errors, undertaking root cause analysis, stakeholder management / notification, issue resolution and process improvement. Process improvement / alignment including automation opportunities. HR process documentation and letter template maintenance Qualifications

What will I bring to the role ?

  • HR Generalist / HR Operations experience gained in a corporate US environment
  • Good level of knowledge of US state / federal employment legislation and compliance requirements and audits such as I-9
  • Good level of knowledge of US benefits / 401k / tax requirements
  • Degree in HR or similar qualification. . IT literate (HRIS & MS Office)
  • Analytical skills an advantageExcellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work autonomously but also as part of a team, including globally remote colleagues
  • Able to remain calm under pressure. Able to multi task, prioritise and meet deadlines. Able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Risk management awareness / good risk ‘radar
  • ’Be customer-focused and understand what a positive customer experience looks like.
