The Impact Communications Lead will be an integral part of Sattva’s Corporate Advisory team initially, with the vision of branching out and establishing Impact Communications (IC) as a separate business unit within Sattva. The focus of IC will be on growing business across the other Sattva verticals and clientele including Corporates, Foundations and NGOs.

Key Accountabilities
Impact communications is an imperative tool for development sector organisations that can be used to achieve various goals – more transparency and accountability, showcase values, culture and level of change orchestrated in the social impact sector, position the organisation as an ecosystem pioneer, develop better investor relations, among a host of others. Meaningful, credible and regular content dissemination is integral to achieve these goals, and hence the key metrics of performance for this role will be:

External

  • Developing a strong impact narrative for the client development interventions
  • Developing communication strategies for internal or external dissemination by the client
  • Conceptualising and designing various collaterals such as Annual Report, Programmatic

Reports, Brochures, Newsletters and others to:
-Showcase outcomes and impact of client’s development interventions
-Interesting and innovative ways to visualize data and share stories through print and digital mediums

  • Creating support systems and processes (such as marketing and branding guidelines) for clients and their partner organisations
  • Working closely with client’s communication or marketing teams
  • Identifying opportunities and facilitating participation at thought leadership events,

relevant awards, competitions and others to showcase the client’s social impact

  • Social media and other online engagement strategies to establish a two-way communication channel between client and their stakeholders for a direct dialogue on

development issues and interventions.

Internal

  • Devising annual operating / communication plan and budget for the IC vertical
  • Monitor the competitive landscape to identify ecosystem trends and best practices
  • Proactively share and learn best practices from other industries that are relevant to the

business

  • Stay abreast of new tools, trends and best practices in the impact communication space, test and evaluate their efficacy in improving scale and effectiveness

Desired skills and competencies for this role

  • Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in development studies / mass communication / development communication or other such relevant degree and work at the intersection of the development and creative fields
  • Knowledge of Canva, Mailchimp, Google Analytics or other similar tools
  • Experience in marketing or advertising, organising communication or brand campaigns, SEO optimisation, copy writing, editing, videography, blogs, or other similar pursuits
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power-Point) and social networking applications
  • Strong language and communication skills; written and oral
  • Proficient in strategizing, design thinking, content development, visualisation and dissemination methods
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to engage with external publishers, vendors, designers, content creators and copywriters, and any other individuals or agencies to whom work might be outsourced, effectively elaborate on the requirements and manage the outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills to efficiently manage lean teams within Impact Communications and work with different business units in Sattva

Salary: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
