ADVERTISEMENT

The Director of Health Service (MI), Meghalaya, Shillong invites application (in

Standard Form of Application along with 2 Passport size photo) from eligible candidates who are

bonafide citizens of India for the posts of Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (A.N.M).

1. No. of Posts -132 (One Hundred Thirty Two)

2. Minimum Qualification-Auxiliary Nurse & Midwifery Certificate from Institution
Recognized by Indian Nursing Council and Registered under

Meghalaya Nursing Council.

3. Additional -Knowledge of Khasi/Jaintia/Garo language.

4. Age -18 to 27 years as on 1.1.2021. Provided that in case of
candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes,

the upper age limits shall be relaxable by 10 (ten) years.

5. Scale of pay -₹24700/- (Level-5 of the Pay Matrix)

Application form to be supported with the following documents duly attested:-

1. Registration Certificate under Meghalaya Nursing Council.
2. Certificate possessing Auxiliary Nurse & Midwifery from Institution recognized by Indian

Nursing Council.

3. Mark Sheet(s) from Institute recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
4. Mark Sheet of Secondary School Leaving Certificate & Higher Secondary Leaving

Certificate.

5. Birth Certificate or SSLC Admit Card.
6. Caste Certificate.

The application form is to be submitted with effect from 8 October, 2021 to 29

October, 2021 from 11:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M in the Office campus of the Director of Health

Services (MI), Laitumkhrah, Shillong and any application received after the last date will not

be entertained. Incomplete application will be rejected. Application sent through post will not be
accepted. No application forms will be received on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.

A written examination will be held on the 4 December, 2021.

THE RESULT OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE BASED ON

THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION ONLY.

The Admit Card of the candidates eligible for appearing the Written Examination will be

issued from 22 November, 2021 to 26 November, 2021.

The Maximum marks for the Written Examination will be 100 marks.

The syllabus for the written examination will be as per the ANM syllabus prescribed

by the Indian Nursing Council as given below:

The Written Examination will be through Optical Marks Recognition (OMR) Sheet

and the Questions will be in Multiple Choice Question, carrying 1 (one) mark each.

Time for the Written Examination will be 3 hours, i.e. from 9 A.M to 12 Noon. All

appearing candidates should report at the examination centre at 8 AM sharp for familiarizing

with the examination process.

Venue for Written Examination:

1. St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Laitumkhrah Shillong.
2. St. Anthony’s College, Bomfyle Road Shillong.
3. North Eastern Hill University, Umshing Mawkynroh, Shillong

Reservation will be as per the Reservation Policy of the State of Meghalaya, i.e.

a) Open Category (15%) - 20 posts.

b) Khasi & Jaintia Category (40%) - 53 posts.

4% will be reserved for the applicant with Disability and

2% will be reserved for the Sports persons who have represented

the State at International, National And Regional levels in disciplines

listed in the Olympics.

c) Garo Category (40%) - 53 posts.

4% will be reserved for the applicant with Disability and

2% will be reserved for the Sports persons who have represented

the State at International, National And Regional levels in disciplines

listed in the Olympics.

d) Other Scheduled Tribe & Scheduled Caste Category (5%) - 6 posts.

Note:- For b), c) & d) above, the Scheduled Tribe Certificate / Scheduled Caste

Certificate to be issued by the Competent Authority of the State of Meghalaya.

The Application Form is to be submitted in the Office campus of the Director of

Health Services (MI), Laitumkhrah, Shillong on working days between 11:00 AM and 4:00

PM.

Ongoing COVID-19 SOPs as issued by the Government to be strictly followed.

For Non-vaccinated candidates, they are to produce a RT-PCR Report within 72

hours while appearing for the Written Examination. Those tested positive for Covid-19 will

not be allowed to appear for the written examination.
