About Alstom in IndiaAlstom has established a strong presence in India. Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. In the Mainline space, Alstom is executing Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343 Km. section on World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. Phase 1 in the construction of the new electric locomotive factory for manufacturing and supply of 800 units of 12000HP locomotives is also complete at Madhepura, Bihar while the depot at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh is ready to commence operation. Purpose of the Job:Work closely with External suppliers to manage non - conformance & supplier governance through supplier management procedure .
Organization Structure : The supplier quality leader will report hierarchically to Supplier Quality Manager .
Mission & Responsibility
Objectives : To apply & deploy supplier quality assurance policy in accordance with sourcing . Manage Non - Conformity report & supplier performance for precise scope of suppliers /projects in serial production.Contributes into supplier improvement actions and drive RFT towards Zero defect culture .
Non- Conformities Management
- Responsible for Non-Conformity day-to day management, ensuring reactivity to inform supplier of Non Conformity Report (NCR), to replace defective parts
and to implement securization.
_ Animate Non Conformities Report treatment by setting-up relevant actions plan to reach Non Conformity Report (NCR) target.
_ Invoice the Cost Of Non Quality (CONQ S1) to the suppliers.
_ Organize the retrofit to be performed by the supplier.
_ Decide quality wall if necessary.
Solving issues & Continuous Improvement
_ Challenge our suppliers to enforce relevant corrective and preventive action plan, challenge reactivity.
_ Audit supplier process to check the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive action plan and ensure control plan sustainability (regular follow-up on main suppliers).
_ For ‘trusted’ suppliers: be part of the Return Of experience (REX) analysis.
Top Issues Dashboard
_ Prepare and monitor supplier Quality review at unit level to tackle the Top issues.
Qualification and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical…) or equivalent.
10+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Assurance / Supplier development Quality
