The primary function of a Key Account Manager is new customer Acquisition, build customer relationships in Transfusion Medicine space.

Grow Market share profitably and retain the existing customers. Work with Government Stake Holders to establish Abbott Scientific Superiority.

Plan the strategy for designated Transfusion Medicine Accounts for the current year as well as for long term to substantially increase share of business in the TM segment.

Responsible for complete customer mapping. Eg: Identify stakeholder, span of business and business potential

Responsible to achieve the top line and bottom-line objectives of Accounts

Responsible for the complete sales activity of the Accounts including sales distribution handling supply & control, accounting & administration

Ensure the establishment and development of relationship between the organization and the principal customers

Prepare sales forecasts and budget which taking into consideration market potential & in line with requirement of the organisation; monitor sales volume, revenues, and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas; and re-allocate resources to improve the overall performance of the Zone.

Monitor and provide continuous feedback on competitor’s activity to the product management

Responsible for planning for new product launches, sales promotion activities etc. in the Zone along with the marketing dept.
