As an Infrastructure support Technician you will be a member of our highly technical production support team, who pro-actively monitors, performs wellness checks and observes the status of File Transfer in the Production and Development environments. You will be focused on the daily goal of meeting established business Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and/or Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the bank's internal/external customers, through the utilization of the Enterprise monitoring and triage tools provided, with emphasis on problem resolution, root cause investigation, providing second level problem detection, determination and resolution function, vendor engagement, maintenance of event/outage logs and assistance with hardware and software patch/product updates.

Qualifications

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Bachelor's degree in some Information Systems discipline or 3 year technical degree.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in File Transfer Systems
  • Knowledge of file transfer protocols. Eg: SFTP, HTTPS, AS2, Connect-Direct, FTP-SSL.
  • Understanding of PGP encryption/signature and SSH/SSL keys and certificates.
  • Knowledge of any FTP tools. Eg: Axway Secure Transport Enterprise, TIBCO, IBM Sterling, etc.
  • Knowledge of connectivity failures and troubleshooting methods for FTP issues
  • Brief idea about DNS, IP, port numbers, Load balancers and similar network concepts
  • Experience in Netcool/Service Now is preferred
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures; attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills and decision making ability around complex problems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively to deliver solutions through continuous improvement
  • Strong desire and skills in identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
  • Ability to learn and apply technical information in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
  • Effective listening skills
