Job Description

Airbus FHS provides customized services to its Customers (mainly Airlines) ranging from FHS-Component upto a TSP (Tailored Support Program) with the objective to provide airlines with significant inventory management and repair cost savings whilst supporting the improvement of their maintenance and engineering activities to allow an increased aircraft reliability and availability.

A.Accountabilities

The Jobholder, as a member of the Flight Hour Services (FHS) entity, reports to the FHS TSP Director. The Jobholder is responsible for the delivery and performance of the TSP Planning activities provided to customer VTI on A320 FHS-TSP contract.

Assistant Manager Planning is accountable to:

  • Ensure that the operator's aircraft are maintained within the time limits stated in the aircraft approved maintenance program.

  • Ensure through coordination with FTM central team an Aircraft Maintenance Program is produced for every aircraft induction into the Operator’s fleet and amendment is raised whenever either MPD revision is issued or revision due to in service experience is necessary

  • Ensure Generation and scheduling all line maintenance tasks as required by the Operator’s Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) for accomplishment in a timely manner and ensure optimization.

  • Ensuring the optimum utilization of each aircraft is planned, monitored and achieved

  • Ensure performance of Daily Production Planning Meeting

  • Ensure Planning and coordination with associated departments for all line maintenance jobs to be carried out on Operator’s fleet to ensure availability of manpower, materials, tools and equipment, downtime and necessary paperwork.

  • Schedule, monitor and compliance of Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Deferred Maintenance tasks and Engineering Orders.

  • Attend AD Review meeting, Mod Committee meeting, Reliability meeting etc. and ensure proper implementation of outcome for planning if any.

  • Monitor the company procedures applicable to the area of work and submit any proposals for such revisions to optimize the quality and effectiveness of those procedures.

  • Resolve operational queries from other departments, Customer & MROs.

C.Main activities

Within FHS-TSP contract, jobholder is responsible for the organization and management of Planning team which is accountable to:

  • Remotely oversee customer’s A/C fleet line maintenance planning on several bases

  • Closely coordinates with FTM central team to deliver performance of base maintenance activities AMP delivery & Aircraft Induction activities.

  • Ensures that the line maintenance activities are in compliance with the customer's approved maintenance program.

  • Processes customer work requirements.

  • Generates short term or long term maintenance forecasts

  • Maximizes effective maintenance task interval accomplishment, while ensuring compliance with customer and airworthiness requirements.

  • Monitors maintenance status and modifications in work to ensure all targets are met.

  • Safeguards the airworthiness and safety of the customer's fleet through strictly controlled and well-scheduled line maintenance events to keep the aircraft in the highest industry standard.

  • Develops effective and efficient maintenance packages with appropriate control and progress planning to ensure smooth on time compliance of maintenance tasks.

  • Guarantees that Maintenance Information System meets a quality standard necessary to ensure Airworthiness of the fleet.

  • Actively reports safety related issues and any other FTM related issues, and in relation, participates in the whole process of finding a resolution to avoid future recurrence.

  • Maintains oversight on level of service delivery & interface with the FTM central team

With regards with management responsibility, jobholder missions consists in:

  • Organization and staffing of the Planning team as per business requirement.

  • Putting in place and running a group operating model allowing control of business activities (performance, risk…) and associated resources in line with AOS (Airbus Operation System) principles.

  • Ensuring her/his team objectives are defined and manage individual performance of team members.

  • Managing team skills, competences and knowledge.

  • Maintaining oversight on level of service delivery & interface with the FTM central team

  • Developing processes, methods and tools with aim to continuously improve efficiency and quality of services delivered.

  • Actively reports safety related issues and any other FTM related issues, and in relation, participates in the whole process of finding a resolution to avoid future recurrence.

  • Acting with respect to ethics and compliance with Airbus corporate rules.

D.Outputs

  • Planning outputs: Short term and long term maintenance forecasts, daily summary for review with the customer, Maintenance Work Packages, Work Orders as defined in Interface Manual and standard procedures, Feedback / support / ownership of overall FHS-TSP Maintenance Planning procedures.

  • Team organisation.

  • Team engagement to reach assigned objectives.

E.EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCES REQUIRED

Education

  • Minimum AME course or degree holder in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent

  • Fluent English

Technical knowledge:

  • Total aviation experience of 7 Years at a minimum

  • 5+ years of experience in Fleet Technical Management (Planning Domain)

  • Experience in A/L or MRO Operations.

  • Experience in team management.

  • Leadership Skills.

  • Excellent team spirit.

  • Highly organized and structured

  • Capacity to work in a dynamic environment.

  • Good communication skills and experience in customer management

  • Knowledge of regulations constraints.

  • Knowledge of Continued Airworthiness Management.

  • Knowledge of Maintenance Information System principle required.

  • Knowledge on specific Maintenance Information systems (AMASIS, RAMCO, AMOS) desirable.

  • Excellent level of spoken and written English

  • Work Experience on Airbus Family Planning principles is a plus.
