Role: Scrum Master

Prior Experience:
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master

Roles and Responsibilities:
Accountable for the end-to-end planning and execution of one or more Agile teams. Lead and negotiate scope, schedule, risks, deployments and communications for projects and initiatives.
Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
Ability to identify RISKS or ISSUES during the sprint and help team in resolution of issues which impede progress
Work with Product Owner to promote and contribute to improvement of program backlog
Track and remove impediments by facilitating discussion and conflict resolution
Coach team in estimation techniques
Develop metrics and reports to help the team and leadership understand the health and progress towards the set goal
Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.
Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
Coach multiple teams through the software development life cycle using Agile, Scrum, and Lean practices and work cross-functionally to ensure projects are developed and deployed with quality and timely delivery into our production systems.
Able to show success with improving team dynamics by helping them to autonomously and holistically identify and prioritize improvements and obstacles and to carry out improvement actions.
Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to mainly Business as Usual (BAU) work and to a lesser degree, important department initiatives and applicable portions of corporate projects and initiatives.

Skills / Project Experience - required:
Must Haves

Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least five year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs etc.)
Experience of leading scrum activities in globally distributed teams
First level Scrum Master Certification is a must (CSM, PSM1)
Working knowledge of Large-Scale Agile Framework like SAFE, LESS etc.
Exposure in various Agile Project Management Tools like JIRA, TFS etc. with an experience in Dashboard Creation, Application Specific Query Language etc.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where production releases occur in 2-4-week durations
Ability to identify RISKS or ISSUES during the sprint and help team in resolution of issues which impede progress.
Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills

Good to Have

Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
Certified SAFE Professional or equivalent
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Various estimation techniques
Know – How of DevOps Tools and Techniques
