Work you’ll do

A project management role is needed within the SUT COE due to the rapidly growing nature of this service offering, size and scale of the contracts that exist in this space, volume of data that is processed, monthly nature of the work, the condensed turn-around time of the work, amount of sensitive client confidential information that is accessed, and client information security and privacy requirements. The PMO function is needed to document, report and communicate status in a standardized way across all clients and tackle special projects as they arise, allowing engagement client service professionals to focus on serving the client.


Track all e-mails sent to the distribution lists, flag where action is required and requires action. Once task is done, mark complete. Maintain a tracker to leverage it to the workflow tool/Intela as applicable

Track filing of returns/Monthly Compliance Status tracking

Track and update management on Notice status, resolution timeframe, approaching deadlines

Maintain internal and client-facing engagement status/deadline calendar/checklists across all clients

Follow up with engagement teams on a daily basis during busy period to track status/progress of engagement and provide updates to management on engagement status.

Client Data

Track status of data sent by clients. Flag where follow-up deemed necessary

Co-ordinate with clients/engagement teams in case of data issues, in order to avoid delays and meet filing deadlines

Client Management

Track client SLAs (Service Level Agreement) and SLEs (Service level Expectations) and provide status of fulfilment to management

Set up distribution lists, eRooms, WBS codes for engagements

Track out of scope and in scope work done for the clients and ensure that all time spent on engagement is correctly and timely billed to the client

Help drive new client transition progress/run status calls on transitions

Maintaining a master database of clients with all requisite details available in the same platform

Documentation, Marketing and Technology

Document processes and protocols within the group and make updates if needed to existing documents. Maintain a repository of SUT processes.

Assist with maintaining utilization and staffing report of professionals on a daily basis during busy period and notify seniors of staff availability

Assist management with Intela implementation for SUT

Own DTi/eRooms/Archive It and ensure documents needed by clients are uploaded

Provide project management support on any special projects for SUT and drive to fruition

The Team

Sales and use tax is a rapidly expanding service offering at Deloitte. The offering is built on a scale that includes a highly-leveraged and nationally managed compliance center in our U.S India (USI) offices, with the client relationship management both in the US and USI offices. Deloitte is currently in the process of aggressively increasing its market share in this service offering

Project management experience

Ability to work effectively with clients, leaders and team members at varying levels

Work experience in a professional services industry

Strong team work skills and relationship building skills

Ability to manage multiple work threads concurrently

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence appropriate outcome

Detail-oriented; organized

A degree/diploma/MBA with work experience handling operations and reporting
