About the role

The Information and Cyber Security (ICS) organization has an opening for a Info Security Associate position on the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Access Monitoring Team. The position is responsible for reviewing security incident activities across the enterprise for compliance with Wells Fargo controls and standards. This position will focus on monitoring privileged and service account events to identify unauthorized or malicious activities using event logging, behavioral analytic and monitoring tools.


  • Provide daily monitoring of privileged and service account activities across the Wells Fargo UNIX / Linux, Windows, Mainframes, iSeries and database platforms including Oracle, SQL, Teradata, Sybase, and Mongo platforms;

  • Enforce Wells Fargo privileged and service account access security policies, standards and risk controls;

  • Escalation of authentication and access activities that don't align with Wells Fargo controls or industry best practices;

  • Assist in improving processes, identify efficiencies and recommend solution enhancements to improve service level delivery;

  • Collaboration with members of Identity and Access Management and the Cyber Threat Security Content Deliver team to improve alerting capabilities to drive risk reduction across the Wells Fargo enterprise.

  • Maintains a broad awareness of the state of information security across the enterprise and industry and influences change to information security policy, standards and procedures for systems/applications/tools;

  • Participate in compliance and oversight activities related to monitoring activities;

  • Create and maintain documentation including procedures, workflows and processes;

  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays

Market Skills and Certifications

Required Qualifications

  • B.E or B.Tech or equivalent degree in Technology

  • 5+ years of Identity and Access Management experience in one or more of the following: provisioning, de-provisioning, certification, authorization or authentication

  • 5+ years of experience in production support, including problem identification, ticket documentation, using ticket tracking tools for change management, problem and incident management, and availability management

  • Knowledge of monitoring using SIEM tools such as Splunk, ArcSight or LogRhythm

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of privileged access management and best practices to secure privileged accounts on cloud platforms

  • Knowledge of application service account monitoring tool TrueFort fortress

  • Knowledge of Identity data analytics, privileged threat analytics and Machine Learning algorithms, models to detect insider threats and privileged access risks

  • Certification in ITIL concepts and task management tools/systems

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodology

  • Good problem solving and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of diagnostic and support tools used in a support environment

  • Experience with Production Support in a financial services company

  • Advanced Information Security technical skills and knowledge and understanding of information security practices and policies

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation

  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding HIPAA, PCI, GLBA, SOX, and SAS70

  • Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
